The pattern is a vintage inspired combination of two different types of checks, each with its own expression to form vertical stripes. A solid colour twisted rib breaks up the pattern along the back of the shoulder. The sweater is knitted top down. The yoke is worked flat, after which the work is gathered and the body and sleeves are knitted in the round. The checkered pattern is easy to follow
