Finely drawn nose, it only opens up its full depth with repeated smelling, some preserved cherries, blackberries and ripe plums, with fine tobacco notes. Dense on the palate, meshy tannins, compact and gripping, dark fruit, dark chocolate in the finish, still needs a lot of aging, last tasted on January 3rd, 2023. Anticipated maturity now until 2035.
