The General Service Medal 1962 - 2007 is commonly known as the Campaign Service Medal 1962 as was awarded with a minimum of one campaign clasp (in the instance 'North Iraq & South Turkey') and it is believed that a maximum of six clasp have been awarded on one medal

The clasp has a small hole in each corner for sewing onto the ribbon

the wording was amended to:

GSM North Iraq and South Turkey Clasp Campaign_GSM 62 to 2007 This was the longest runningAwarded for service in Northern Iraq or Southern Turkey between 6 April 1991 and 17 July 1991. This is the BAR ONLY and is supplied ready to be fitted to a General Service Medal 1962 onwards. Please note that fitting of these clasps requires specialist equipment.
