A 19th Century Upholstered Oak Armchair. Works of Art H:47 W:117 D:57A 19th century oak library armchair in the manner of J. c. Loudon. Unusual brass and ceramic castors, untouched frame with the original Upholstrey exposed. H: 95 W: 61 D: 71 CM (Seat Height 39 cm) H: 37. 5 W: 24 D: 28 INCHES (15. 3 INCHES). An illustration of this chair design can be found in J. C. Loudon's Encyclopedia of Cottage, Farm and Villa Architecture and Furniture, 1833, fig. 1911, and most likely is derived from a design for a Spanish chair
