but it is unrealistic to place too high an expectation on a wine that was frankly made with pretty rustic means

Camille Giroud, Corton Renardes Vintage:2022 The suppleA brooding and slightly grumpy nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of various dark berries, violet and plenty of sauvage and warm earth scents. The succulent yet powerful larger scaled flavors are not remarkably dense though they dont lack for punch on the vaguely sweet finish. This is perfectly good but not what I would call classic.
